Art

“What kind of art do you make?”

Is the question I’m asked when I say I’m an artist.

Well, I haven’t met a medium I don’t like. It’s probably from being an art teacher: I had to learn ‘em all!

Lately I’ve been enjoying making conceptual “dream catchers” — sort of modern interpretations of the traditional craft re-imagined by the Cosmic American. I learned to make them when I was growing up in Oklahoma. The ones I make now are primarily made from salvaged materials otherwise destined for the landfill. I love doing custom orders, so hit me up: rachael(at)rachaelrice.com.
