For the nerds:
Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) is a classic herbal remedy most often used for preventing and easing migraines and chronic headaches. It’s a daisy-like perennial that has a long history of medicinal use, especially in European herbal traditions.
The main active compound in feverfew is parthenolide, a sesquiterpene lactone found primarily in the leaves and flowers. Parthenolide has anti-inflammatory, vasodilatory, and serotonin-regulating effects that may reduce the frequency and severity of migraines.
